Thousand-people long-table banquet launched in Fenghuang County

A thousand-people long-table banquet was held in Dutian Village, Tuojiang Town, Fenghuang County on May 25.

All 1,917 swimmers who had signed up for the National Swimming Open in Tuojaing River, Fenghuang Ancient Town enjoyed the banquet. The athletes reported to reception in Fenghuang County on May 25 and began their competition near the Yunqiao section of the Tuojiang River on May 26. It aimed to warmly entertain the swimmers from different ethnic groups across the country, build the Fenghuang ethnic unity and progress brand, and promote the high-quality development of Fenghuang’s cultural tourism and ethnic unity and progress.

Before the start of the long-table banquet, wonderful performances such as drinking door-blocking wine, a flower drum dance and an ethnic costume show were presented, intoxicating the swimmers. They also ate delicious food like Fenghuang duck with blood duck cakes, farmhouse vegetable tofu and wild bamboo shoots.

This event has actively promoted the extensive exchanges and integration among various ethnic groups.
